We’re well aware that Gwyneth Paltrow takes preparing for the red carpet very seriously, and at Wednesday night’s premiere of her new film, Mortdecai, she proved that all of that hard work has paid off.

The 42-year-old mom to Apple, 10, and Moses 8, posed for photographers wearing an incredible Lanvin gown in a flattering stone-blue hue. The ensemble came complete with a blue leather belt and a thigh-high slit, embellishments that showed off Gwyneth’s svelte frame. Strappy leather heels and drop earrings gave the sexy fashion choice a bit of an edge.

Her secret to getting those enviable legs? Regularly working out and using Prtty Peaushun, a lotion that promises to tighten and tone loose skin. Gwyneth is also a fan of facial massages.

Mortdecai, which also stars Johnny Depp and Ewan McGregor, tells the tale of a charming yet shady art dealer who takes up the task of finding a stolen Goya painting. The print is rumoured to contain a code that will lead someone to great wealth. Gwyneth plays the wife of Johnny’s Mordecai's character. Olivia Munn and Jeff Goldblum also appear in the movie.

At the film’s Los Angeles premiere, Gwyneth stepped out with boyfriend Brad Falchuk, the producer responsible for American Horror Story and Glee – on which Gwyneth had a recurring guest role.

Despite reports that the duo had split, the pair seems to be going strong, and were spotted holding hands throughout the evening’s festivities.

Mortdecai is in theatres now.
