The week's best celebrity style: Rosamund Pike, Kerry Washington, Jessica Alba and more

By: Nicole Carrington

Despite the sub-zero temperatures in Canada, dynamic brights and florals reigned supreme on the red carpet this week for stylish stars like Jenna Dewan-Tatum, Marion Cotillard and Kerry Washington.

Jenna Dewan-Tatum stole the show at the L.A. premiere of Jupiter Ascending, starring husband Channing Tatum and new-mom Mila Kunis, in a tangerine halter gown by Cushnie et Ochs. A little further up the coast in Santa Barbara, Jenny Slate provided a much-needed dose of summer in the form of a colourful Dolce & Gabbana frock with a ruffled hem and blossoming print – but the real kicker came in the form of her darling Christian Louboutin PVC pumps with metallic accents. Actress Marion Cotillard also ushered in florals in a screen-printed neoprene look by Carolina Herrera at the The Hollywood Reporter’s Academy Awards soiree.

Eva Longoria and Kerry Washington also dressed looking forward to spring. Eva took to the set of Extra TV in a bright coral design by Three Floor featuring mesh detailing and exposed zippers. And romance was clearly on Kerry’s mind as she donned a sweet, polka-dotted Dolce & Gabbana dress with cherry lips and Roger Vivier’s ‘Love’ bag for the Scandal x The Limited launch in California.

Jaimie Alexander opted for all-black everything for a stroll through L.A., embodying the rocker-chic aesthetic in a black mini dress, oversized sweater and thigh-high Stuart Weitzman wedge boots. Emma Stone also demonstrated the power of neutrals (and displayed some pretty masterful mixing and matching) at the official Academy Awards Nominees Luncheon in a laid back look by Michael Kors with subtle shimmering accents.
