The week's best celebrity style: Lea Seydoux, Gigi Hadid, Olivia Palermo and more

By Nicole Carrington

With awards season fully underway, some of our favourite style stars pulled out all the stops this week as they stepped out in line, Giambattista Valli, Prada and the like. From premieres to New York Fashion Week and the 57th Annual GRAMMY Awards, Kendall Jenner, Janelle Monae and Tracee Ellis Ross were the stuff of sartorial dreams.

Kendall Jenner took to the streets of NYC ahead of NYFW in a sleeveless sweater dress by Céline (a sexier alternative to the one Sienna Miller sported recently) paired with a shearling Ashley B coat and Alice + Olivia boots. Flare cover girl Olivia Palermo continued the thigh-high trend with a pair of Stuart Weitzmans at the Kingsman film premiere and completed her ensemble with a belted sweater dress and fabulous navy cape.

While the biggest parties of the week centered around the GRAMMY Awards (we’ll get to that in a minute!), celebrities also made their mark at the 46 th annual NAACP Awards where Black-ish star Tracee Ellis Ross took home the trophy for Outstanding Actress in a stunning design by Michael Costello, and Angela Bassett wowed in a dramatic frock by Xcite Xtreme with matching gold cuffs.

The parties went all week long for music’s biggest night, and Roc Nation’s annual bash was easily one of the best of the bunch. Janelle Monae and Kelly Rowland made their mark in contrasting (but super complementary!) looks. Known for her bold aesthetic, Janelle opted for a bold two-piece by Moschino with a red wide-brimmed hat and matching clutch. Kelly was all smiles in head-to-toe white featuring a long-sleeved wrap top and athletic-inspired trousers .

At the GRAMMYs gala, the one ensemble that had everyone at attention was Rihanna’s ultra-frothy candy coloured gown by Giambattista Valli. The performer expertly paired down the look’s sweetness with minimal makeup and a purposely mussed up-do.

More sartorial hit-makers include model-of-the-moment Gigi Hadid, French "it girl" Lea Seydoux and Demi Lovato. As always, let us know your fashion picks on Twitter and Facebook!
