The week's best celebrity style: Gwen Stefani, Dita Von Teese, Rita Ora and more

By Nicole Carrington

With a new season officially underway, Hollywood’s finest painted the town in their best and brightest ensembles, showing off a playful mix of colourful and classic along with some of spring’s hottest trends.

Games of Thrones actress Nathalie Emmanuel masterfully avoided a potential colour clash at the series’ San Francisco season premiere, wowing in a turquoise crop top and coral pencil skirt with metal accents by Thierry Mugler. She finished the look with silver Tamara Mellon sandals.

Meanwhile, in New York, January Jones bid a fond farewell to Mad Men at its Museum of Modern Art screening in an embroidered navy midi-dress by Preen paired with satin Nicholas Kirkwood heels.

Elsewhere in NYC, songstress Rita Ora scored major style points in a bold magenta look by Barbara Bui, including a knit turtleneck, cropped topper and pleated trousers teamed with grey Casadei pumps and a pair of vintage sunglasses.

One of the week’s biggest themes was shades of red, as Zoe Saldana, Amanda Seyfried and Dita Von Teese all stepped out in variations of the hue. At the GLAAD Media Awards, Zoe opted for a monochromatic look in a layered crimson frock by Cushnie et Ochs and matching Kurt Geiger d’orsay pumps. Amanda Seyfried, on the other hand, attended the premiere of her latest film While We Were Young in a pleated watercolour-print Valentino gown, which she offset beautifully with a braided up-do and mussed smoky eye. And Dita Von Teese played MC at Madrid’s Belvedere Vodka Night in a crystal embellished, wine-coloured Jenny Packham frock.
