Chrissy Teigen was on hand at the 42nd Daytime Emmys to present an award, but John Legend’s sexy wife could have taken home a trophy for most daring ensemble. With her singer husband in tow, Chrissy sizzled on Sunday (April 26) in a sultry black number that showed off her curves.
The 29-year-old, who is currently co-hosting new series Lip Sync Battle, sizzled in a chic black pencil skirt which she paired with a tailored tuxedo jacket featuring cut-out sleeves and a daring plunging neckline. She accessorised with a pair of black strappy sandals and a patent black clutch bag, and completed the eye-catching look with dazzling jewellery.
The star recently debuted a fresh new shoulder-length hairstyle just in time for spring, but she appears to have added extensions for the glitzy awards ceremony as she rocked an edgy high, long ponytail, with lots of volume at the roots for a touch of rock chic.
The model recently opened up about the damage her love of dyeing and constantly changing her look was taking its toll on her tresses.
“I went darker for a job. They need a kind of Sin City, Quentin Tarantino vixen kind of vibe, and I had blonde hair,” she told Refinery29. “I was actually the one who suggested it. So we hit up Sally’s [Beauty Supply store] in Mexico and we just did it on a whim.”
“My problem is, 90 per cent of my hair is very fake, so I didn’t realize the toll it would take on all of it. So, getting it back to [blonde] wasn’t the easiest. It took 25 hours, total, over a three-day period.”
Chrissy was not the only fashionista to turn heads at the star-studded ceremony at Warner Bros. studio in California. Presenter Giuliana Rancic made waves of her own as she stepped out in an elegant sleeveless coral pink floor-length gown with cut-out lace detailed panelling for a touch of spring chic.
The E! host kept her accessories fairly minimal save for silver earrings and bracelets, completing her ensemble with a pale pink mirrored clutch bag. She wore her pale brunette locks in a sleek updo and added a touch of old Hollywood with barely-there make-up with show-stoppingly long eyelashes and a hint of eyeliner.
