Kim Kardashian eases insecurities with Spanx

Kim Kardashian is admired around the world for her curvaceous figure and flawless looks, but the 34-year-old has admitted that she often feels insecure about her body, particularly when it comes to her weight. In an episode of Keeping up with the Kardashians, Kim revealed that she ‘cannot leave the house without spanx’ because of her lack of confidence.

“I’m so insecure lately, just with my weight,” she admitted. “I cannot leave the house without spanx.”

“I worry about it all of the time,” she also said. “Like I literally did you see the picture posted today with Kourtney? Everyone’s like ’She’s got her hips done and she got her butt done,’ and I’m like ’No, I’m legit 20 pounds heavier’.”

The reality TV queen’s confession has surprised fans, as she is notorious for often sharing selfies of herself, whether in a bikini or going make-up free – earlier this month she released new book Selfish, a collection of her favourite selfies. She is also renowned for flaunting her incredible figure in edgy and sultry high fashion ensembles, which rapper husband Kanye West often helps her to style.

Kim’s decision to speak up about her insecurities follows step-sister Kylie Jenner’s decision to come clean and admit to having temporary lip fillers, following months of speculation. “Your lips look amazing,” Kim told Kylie. “I don’t want you to get carried away, lips aren’t permanent, but if [the media] ask about your lips, own up to it.”

“We’ve all had our own insecurities and it’s nothing to be ashamed of,” she continued. “It’s just handling it the right way. If someone asks you about your lips, just be honest. Just tell them, it’s not that big of a deal. Just make sure you keep everything subtle and don’t go overboard.”
