Kendall Jenner’s face has graced the pages of top magazines and she’s strutted her stuff on runways for a who’s who of designers, quickly catapulting to supermodel status. Among the 19-year-old’s many fashion-industry fans is icon Karl Lagerfeld , who shared his praise of the “girl of the moment” behind the scenes in a video for his latest Karl Lagerfeld Eyewear campaign, starring Kendall.

“She’s great and modern and the girl of the moment,” Karl says, just moments after the Keeping up with the Kardashians star introduces herself as being ‘Team Karl’.
The short clip highlights Kendall’s model credentials as she and fellow model Baptiste Giabiconi pose together in different pieces from the range, while being photographed for the campaign by Karl himself.
It comes as no surprise that Kendall has landed yet another modelling gig with Karl – not only did she walk for Chanel at her first Fashion Week last year, but she has since featured in his shows every season since.
The reality TV star previously opened up about how grateful she was at having been acknowledged by some of the industry’s biggest designers.
“I am so grateful to Marc Jacobs, Riccardo Tisci, Karl Lagerfeld and Katie Grand who took a chance on me that first season and gave me an opportunity,” she told V magazine. In the same interview, the young model opened up about her family’s fameand how at times it had threatened to end her modelling career before it had even started.
“ You have no idea how many doors closed on me,” she said. “And how many adults were initially reluctant to take a chance working with me or who outright laughed at me behind my back.”
