By Nicole Carrington

Angelina Jolie-worthy slits were the name of the game as everyone from Magic Mike XXL star Amber Heardto Game of Thrones’s Emilia Clarke put their best foot forward at the week’s hottest events.

R&B songstress Ciara attended the annual BET Awards in a semi-sheer, intricately beaded midi dress by designer Wes Gordon. Also at the BET Awards was former Destiny’s Child singer Kelly Rowland, who took to the red carpet in a dramatically feathered frock by Lever Couture, but pared down her look with a softened smoky eye and nude lip. Another one of the night’s winners? Good girl-gone-bad Rihanna, who stopped by to promote her controversial new music video for "B**** Better Have My Money." The Barbadian beauty put a new spin on menswear in a gilded short suit by Giorgio Armani and Stuart Weitzman’s famed Nudist heels.

Meanwhile, over in Europe, the Magic Mike ladies wowed in ultra-feminine looks with a healthy dose of edge. Amber Heard hit the Amsterdam premiere in a dotted high-slit look by Cushnie et Ochs and cherry-red pumps, while Jenna Dewan Tatum knocked it out of the park in a black-and-white look from Zuhair Murad featuring a degraded print top and wide leg pant at the film’s London showing.

At the Serpentine Gallery’s annual summer party,Kate Hudson took sequins to a whole new level in a floor-length Louis Vuitton skirt and sleeveless turtleneck , capping off her look with nude heels and a printed box clutch. Actress Naomie Harris was also spotted at the Serpentine event, opting for a bubblegum-pink Christopher Kane dress with contrasting banded black accents.

This week’s other hit-makers include the Queen Bey, Beyonce, in a cutout frock by Self Portrait and her little sister, Solange, in Tome’s printed wrap top.
