The week's best celebrity style: Victoria Beckham, Michelle Dockery, Kerry Washington and more

By Nicole Carrington

From wowing in white to playing with bold patterns, celebs were on their A-game this week as they worked their way through red carpet events in the season’s hottest looks.

In Los Angeles, Jenna Dewan-Tatum led a stylish parade of stars in white frocks in a body-hugging cutout midi dress by Cushnie et Ochs paired with coordinating pumps. Top model Gigi Hadid made a splash at a David Jones event in Sydney wearing a plunging Marciano creation while Mad Men’s Kiernan Shipka stole the show at the 8th annual Oceana SeaChange summer party in an Antonio Beradi dress complete with a pleated skirt and button detailing.

Bold prints had a major moment this week thanks to small screen actresses Kerry Washington and Chloe Bennet. The Scandal star stepped out at ABC’s Television Critics Association press tour in a two-piece jacquard ensemble by Mary Katrantzou featuring a marine coloured crop top and reverse-print pencil skirt. She complemented her look with a dark smoky eye and rose lip. Chloe also made a fashionable appearance at the TCAs in a form-fitting Rubin Singer dress with exaggerated shoulders and a dynamic leopard motif.

Mom-of-four Victoria Beckham was spotted walking the streets of Los Angeles in a whimsical creation of her own; a one-shouldered shift dress with deep side pockets and aquatic embroidery.

Also on the West Coast, Downton Abbey’s Michelle Dockery attended the period drama’s photo call event in a look fit for fall. Calling on designer Dion Lee, ‘Lady Mary’ was a vision in a silk teal blouse with an oversized keyhole and matching midi skirt with netted overlay. She finished off her memorable look with delicate metallic heels.
