The Week's Best Celebrity Style: Kristen Stewart, Emily Ratajkowski, Olivia Cooke and more

By Nicole Carrington

Don’t let the fall colour palettes fool you - Hollywood’s most stylish aren’t ushering in the new season quite yet! Despite a propensity towards olive greens, black and moody florals, stars like Kristen Stewart, Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato were in sunny states of mind attending a host of A-list events.

Newcomer Emily Ratajkowski blended rich autumn tones with a decidedly summery silhouette for an unbeatable combination at the We Are Your Friends after-party in NYC. The actress played off her two-piece Solace ensemble, consisting of a crossover bodice and high-waisted culottes (the ultimate transitional piece), with a simple pair of nude sandals and single arm cuff.

Victoria’s Secret model Chanel Iman also hit all the right notes in a sage slip dress featuring a lace-up side slit by Alexander Wang that she paired with strappy black sandals.

Autumn florals made a strong appearance this week in looks on Patricia Clarkson and Kristen Stewart - Patricia in an exquisite mock-neck (trend alert!) multi-toned Naeem Khan gown at the premiere of Learning to Drive in New York City, and Kristen in a plunging sequin romper by man-of-the-hour Zuhair Murad.

UK rising star Olivia Cooke, best known for her role on Bates Motel, took embellishments to a whole new level in a dazzling peekaboo frock by Marc Jacobs complete with glimmering gemstones.

Simpler styles from former Disney kids Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato, as well as actress Maia Mitchell, also made waves this week. Selena stepped out for a coffee run in SoHo wearing a cropped sweater and faux-leather skater skirt by Topshop , Kurt Geiger mules and Dior's brow-bar sunnies. Demi kept it simple at a Samsung Galaxy event in a draped L’AGENCE blouse and printed skirt, which she complemented with simple nude accessories. And at Sunday’s Teen Choice Awards, Maia played her cards just right in a breezy Giamba blouse and coordinating running-style shorts for a look that screams cool-girl chic.
