The Week's Best Celebrity Style: Jourdan Dunn, Dakota Johnson and Chrissy Teigen

By Nicole Carrington

With festival season in full swing, stars are making major sartorial statements on runways and red carpets around the globe. From Diane Kruger and Dakota Johnson at the 72nd annual Venice Film Festival to to Kate Bosworth's casual stroll clad in Alexander McQueen, we feasted on some of the finest fashion this week.

Over in Italy, fashion favourite Diane stepped out at the opening dinner in a fiery red, cutout jumpsuit by Cushnie et Ochs. Modern Family alum Elizabeth Banks made her mark the following day in a delicate, caped design by Elie Saab, featuring a plunging neckline and pleated skirt, and completed her ensemble with a pair of strappy Christian Louboutin sandals. Later in the week, Fifty Shades of Grey star Dakota Johnson took to the red carpet premiere of her latest flick, A Bigger Splash, in an appropriately bedazzled Marc Jacobs gown strewn with mirrored embellishments.

Glitz was also the name of the game for model du jour Jourdan Dunn, who struck a pose on the red carpet of the GQ Men of the Year Awards in a souped-up, metallic keyhole gown by Sonia Rykiel paired with high-shine silver pumps.

Former Bond girl Naomie Harris took an opposite approach to red-carpet styling, stepping out in a citrine 3D frock by Julien Macdonald with a sheer netted underlay and triple-strap Tamara Mellon heels.

Also out and about (and flaunting killer ensembles, of course!) were Chrissy Teigen, Ireland Baldwin and Kate Bosworth. Chrissy made her way to pal Lauren Conrad’s first fashion week presentation for LC Lauren Conrad in a Victorian-inspired floral blouse, pleated shorts and rope-tie sandals, while Ireland caught our eye in a knit Ferragamo dress and ankle-strap sandals at the designer’s 100 th anniversary celebration on Rodeo Drive in L.A. And Kate Bosworth opted for a truly whimsical Alexander McQueen look , complete with an oversized Obi belt and hardware accented handbag, for a stroll in NYC.
