Week's best celebrity style: Janelle Monae, Kendall Jenner, Lily James

If you thought colour blocking was a trend of the past, think again! Hollywood’s hottest tastemakers, like Kendall Jenner, Janelle Monae and Lily James, shut down the streets of L.A, Paris and beyond in scene-stealing hues and au currant silhouettes.

Serving as the sunny main attraction at Chloé’s fashion week presentation in France, Jada Pinkett Smith stunned in a draped lemon-yellow trench coat, billowy tie-neck blouse and silk trousers.

Miranda Kerr and Downton Abbey actress Lily James also served up some delightfully punchy looks this week. Miranda expertly offset her pleated cherry red skirt and rose coloured Marni coat with a grey cropped Jonathan Simkhai sweater and two-tone pumps. Meanwhile, Lily played with hiked hemlines at a photocall in Cannes, where she opted for a jacquard mini dress with a deep navy trim by Russian couturier Ulyana Sergeenko.

Model Erin O’Connor cleverly played to her cool girl sensibilities by pairing a brightly patterned Erdem skirt with a classic turtleneck, and keeping her beauty look perfectly refined with simple braids, bold brows and a striking pink lip.

But the fun didn’t stop there! Songbird Janelle Monae stepped out at the Akris showing at Paris Fashion Week in a plush ivory blazer and coordinating skinnies, and topped off her look with a cheeky leather clutch, layered jewelry and a bright red lip.

Our next three beauties – Kendall Jenner, Eve Hewson and Odeya Rush – also took on the cherry pout, matching their respective hues with sophisticated nighttime fashions.

Kendall cemented her position as the modelling industry’s one to watch as she took to Vogue’s 95th anniversary party in a velvet gown by Ulyana Sergeenko, which featured a nipped waist, fluted skirt and contrasting rosettes along the hemline. Newcomer Eve, who is also rock legend Bono's daughter, attended the New York Film Festival in a multicoloured flapper-style gown, and Odeya struck a pose at the California premiere of Goosebumps in a dreamy floral dress by designer Lela Rose.
