Week’s best celebrity style: Kate Bosworth, Lupita Nyong'o, Lea Seydoux and more

By Ava Baccari

As awards season officially kicked off last week with a brilliant style parade at the 2016 Golden Globes, there’s been a distinctly haute air to red-carpet dressing of late. As a star-studded stream of A-listers arrived at the Beverly Hilton Hotel for the 73rd awards ceremony, attendees like Julianne Moore and Olivia Wilde nearly stole the show in captivating (and shiny!) gowns — worthy of gold in their own right.

Presenter Julianne sparkled in a metallic-blue floor-length gown by Tom Ford. And while it's easy to look good when the designer is not only a close friend but also your date for the evening, the flame-haired beauty definitely owned the striking look.

Also bringing some glitter to the black-tie affair was Vinyl star Olivia Wilde, who opted for a sequinned, wine-hued gown made just for her by Michael Kors. Her dapper plus-one, hubby Jason Sudeikis, proudly complemented his stunning fiancé with matching burgundy socks with black-and-white Air Jordan 11 Retro Low Concord sneakers.

The glam-rock parade continued with Star Wars: The Force Awakens star Lupita Nyong’o’s ensemble at the Marie Claire Image Maker Awards, which took over the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles last Tuesday (Jan. 12). The Oscar winner complemented her form-fitting blue Mugler gown with glittery pumps. Also in attendance was Kristen Stewart, who nailed the rocker-chic look with her black blouse and gilded metallic mini-skirt by designer Sally LaPointe. She rounded out the strong ensemble with classic Soebedar black patent “Mary” pumps.

While notables like David Beckham and Selena Gomez came out to celebrate the partnership of Louis Vuitton and UNICEF at the Biennial UNICEF Ball in Los Angeles, all eyes were on the newly appointed ambassador for the luxury fashion house, French actress Léa Seydoux. The Spectre star arrived a custom Louis Vuitton black bodysuit gown on the arm of creative director Nicolas Ghesquière.

The always-stylish Kate Bosworth, Olivia Palermo and Jaimie Alexander round out the rock-studded list, and we can’t wait for the show to go on!
