Kim Kardashian edgy braids and fur ahead of Kanye West's show

Kim Kardashian definitely knows how to make a splash, so when she returned to the spotlight on Thursday (Feb. 11) all eyes were on the mother of two. The reality star has been keeping a low profile since welcoming her son Saint in December, but Kim stepped out in New York rocking an edgy ensemble ahead of husband Kanye West's highly anticipated YEEZY Season 3 show at New York Fashion Week.

Showing off some of her best assets, Kim paired a black bra with a sheer sleeveless turtleneck, black pants and boots. She kept winter winds at bay with the look's pièce de résistance, a black-and-white fur coat that would have Cruella de Vil sick with envy.

Kim has taken a shining to cornrows to protect her hair from styling damage.

As for her hair, the 35-year-old rocked four chunky braids. “Kim wanted to give her hair a break from constant heat styling,” hairstylist Justine Marjan told People of the cornrow braids Kim has favoured since late last year. Glossy pink lips and a pair of flat-top Saint Laurent sunglasses were the finishing touches on the eye-catching look.

Kim rocked her favourite sunglasses with the edgy look.

It remains to be seen whether Kim will change before her husband's presentation, and whether two-year-old North will once again accompany her mom to daddy's show, but one thing is for sure: his show is going to be massive. Taking over Madison Square Garden for a joint album release and fashion show, public tickets to the stadium event, which will also live stream on Tidal, sold out in minutes. Kanye revealed that the final name of the album, after hinting titles like SWISH and WAVES (you'll remember the Twitter feud that erupted from the latter), will be The Life of Pablo.

Among the hordes of celebrities who will be clamouring for a front-row seat, Khloé Kardashian and her ex Lamar Odom are set to attend, according to Us Weekly. The duo boarded a private plane bound for New York yesterday (Feb. 10). This follows months of intense recovery for the former basketball star, who overdosed in October 2015 and has slowly regained his walking and talking skills.
