Week’s Best Celebrity Style: Debra Messing, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kate Bosworth and more

By Ava Baccari

Summer may be winding down but blushing brides are still steadily heading to the altar (just check your calendar and you'll know what we’re talking about!). In the spirit of marital bliss, we couldn't help but notice a parade of wedding-inspired ensembles on the red carpet this week. From Debra Messing's polished head-to-white midi (for the traditional bride) to a statement-making, floral two-piece suit à laKate Bosworth (for funkier fiancées), these stars are giving us serious wedding-day inspo!

Always a style win, Sarah Jessica Parker channeled the vintage-minded bride – think Gatsby style in all its Jazz Age glory – in a silver beaded Needle & Thread cold-shoulder dress from the Resort 2017 collection. Her heel game was totally en pointe in teal satin ribbon lace-ups from her SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker line. Call it her something blue.

Debra Messing went the traditional route with a crisp white, cocktail-length Lanvin dress. The flowing hemline was perfectly balanced with pointy white heels, and the actress added Grecian goddess touches with a chunky gold arm cuff and hoop earrings.

Leave it to fashion darling Kate Bosworth to make us fall for the bohemian bride in a floral Giambattista Valli suit. The crisp black collar and sleek clutch made for a practical yet edgy statement – like the bride who eschews tradition but relishes the finer moments in life.

Rounding out a week of bridal-inspired red carpet looks was Karen Fukuhara (in whispery Reem Acra), Bryce Dallas Howard (in white lace by Lover), Margot Robbie (in off-white Gucci) and Maggie Gyllenhaal (resplendent in The Row). And we’re going to ask that all rise for First Lady Michelle Obama and her grandiose, fairytale-like Brandon Maxwell gown. You may now head down the aisle...
