Week's Best Celebrity Style: Sarah Jessica Parker, Freida Pinto, Emilia Clarke and more

By Ava Baccari

It’s been three decades since Molly Ringwald debuted her cotton-candy coloured prom dress onscreen, but style stars like Sarah Jessica Parker and Emilia Clarke clearly had Pretty in Pink in mind when stepping out this week. As the stars got in touch with their feminine sides – wearing pretty pastel shades on the red carpet and in the front rows at fashion week – one future style star proved she was born on trend, literally!

Supermodel Behati Prinsloo and her Maroon 5 frontman husband Adam Levinewelcomed daughter Dusty Rose on September 21. And considering her A-list genetics, it’s no surprise that she would front a trend beloved by everyone from Mindy Kaling to Sarah Jessica Parker in her first week!

Sarah Jessica was totally en pointe in a two-toned satin number by Narciso Rodriguez at the 2016 New York City Ballet fall gala. The TV star channeled her Sex and the City counterpart Carrie Bradshaw in a floor-skimming gown that she paired with black strappy Fugue heels from her SJP Collection.

Game of Thrones actress Emilia looked every inch the English rose in a whimsical, lace confection by Elie Saab. The off-the-shoulder dress featured sheer paneling for the perfect mix of demure and daring on the red carpet.

Meanwhile, Freida Pinto showcased the sophisticated and endlessly versatile nature of a muted pink dress – the new closet essential for fall. The actress donned a silk collared Burberry number under a playfully printed coat to sit front row at their Prorsum show at London Fashion Week.

Elsewhere stars like Dakota Johnson (in Gucci), Alexa Chung (in Simone Rocha), Mindy Kaling (in Roksanda Ilincic) and Anna Chlumsky (in Christian Siriano) rocked the trend, while Winnie Harlow (in Versus Versace) truly took dusty rose to heart this week. Clearly Behati and Adam are onto something!
