Hillary Clinton can now add footwear model to her storied resume thanks to her friend Katy Perry. The former Secretary of State happily showed off a pair of pink pumps designed and dubbed “The Hillary” by the “Rise” singer. The popstar shared a snap on Instagram Monday (Apr. 11) of the politician wearing her shoes with a metallic coat, crisp white pants and flashy smile to match.

The “Chained To The Rhythm” songstress encouraged fans to go buy the colourful pumps before the sell-out. “⚡️POWER PUMP⚡️your way over to katyperrycollections.com for the last few hours of the spring 25% sale,” wrote the singer, before adding how much she adores Hillary. “@HillaryClinton is wearing #TheHillary (OMG I LOVE HER SO MUCH).”

The pointed-toe pumps are made of luxurious suede, feature a clear heel embedded with small metallic gold stars and come in a variety of sizes from 5 to 11.

Reflecting on her foray into fashion, the 32-year-old told People magazine, “For half my career, people have been asking me when I’m getting into fashion. It’s always been simmering under the surface, but I wanted to do it the right way and be the real creative contributor. This is something that I’ve created from the bottom up.”

Katy Perry Collections also includes a sparkly sneaker created in honour of Girls multi-hyphenate Lena Dunham.

This is not the first time that Katy and Hillary have supported one another professionally. The singer-songwriter was one of Hillary’s most vocal supporters during her run for president and even performed at a rally for the Democratic politician in Philadelphia on November 5, 2016.
