Canadian actor François Arnaud in the running for ‘50 Shades of Grey’

Another name has joined the fray in the Fifty Shades of Grey casting scramble -- and this time, he's Canadian!

François Arnaud, best known for his role as Cesare Borgia on the Showtime TV series The Bogais, is rumoured to be in the running for the role of billionaire playboy Christian Grey.

The handsome French-Canadian actor was reportedly approached by producers after Charlie Hunnam backed out of the project unexpectedly, though nothing has been confirmed so far.

François, 28, joins the likes of Jamie Dornan, Alexander Skarsgård and Christian Cooke, all of whom are rumoured to be contenders for the whips-and-chains blockbuster.

Brooding, thick-haired and a Canuck to boot? Our vote is definitely with François!

What do you think: Would François Arnaud make a good Christian Grey?
