Nicest actor in Hollywood Tom Hanks meets autistic fan, melts hearts everywhere

Tom Hanks’ reputation as one of the nicest guys in Hollywood is no act.

The loveable movie star was appearing in Lucky Guy on Broadway when he invited a super fan backstage after one of his performances for a meet-and-greet — and, luckily for us, the entire heart-warming encounter was caught on video.

Sarah Moretti, who has autism, is seen giggling and shrieking with joy at meeting her idol after Tom walks into his dressing room holding a letter she sent him.

Tom and Sarah then spend some time reminiscing through photos that Sarah had collected in a scrapbook, while Tom exclaims "look how young I used to be!"

After gushing over the pictures — and giving Sarah a big hug — he signs several pages and says, "How wonderful is it to meet you!"

In return, Sarah gifted the actor a pen engraved with the inscription, “World’s best actor, love Sarah.”
