Attention Jane Fonda fans: Netflix just got a whole lot funnier.
The 76-year-old actress will star alongside Lily Tomlin, 74, in a new original comedy series called Grace and Frankie.
The real-life friends (and former 9 to 5 costars) will play rivals who are brought together after their husbands announce that they are gay, in love and planning to get married.
“Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin are among the funniest and most formidable actresses ever and it's an incredible privilege to give them the opportunity to run riot on Netflix," said CCO Ted Sarandos in a statement. "The show created for them by Marta and Howard is warm, very funny and anything but wholesome. We can't wait."
The single-camera show, which is being produced and co-written by Friends creator Marta Kauffman, is scheduled to air during summer 2015.
Netflix has been boosting its original programming as of late to enormous success. Other popular Netflix-exclusive series include prison drama Orange Is the New Black and the Emmy-winning political thriller House of Cards.
