No, the 27-year-old actress wasn’t in town for a press tour. Shay teamed up with Duracell Power Smiles for a “pop-up arcade” at the Hospital for Sick Children, where ailing youngsters had the opportunity to play games, snap pictures of themselves in a photo booth and joke around with the ABC Family actress.

Shay said of the event, “for the kids here dealing with illnesses, it’s a time to be kids, and laugh. And take photos.”
One of Canada's most beautiful exports, Shay took a break from her Hollywood life to play video games for hours, and even mugged for a bunch of photos with her young fans.

When asked if she was a gamer, Shay said, “Yes, actually. Mario Kart on N64 back in the day? And Golden Eye.”
There’s no doubt the young starlet loves giving back to her hometown. Before she left Toronto, Shay made sure to Instagram her memories from the successful charity event, in addition to some of her Canadian necessities: a 20-pack of Timbits for travelling and a hot slice of Bitondo’s pizza.
