Emmy Awards 2014: Nominations revealed

The nominations for the 66th Primetime Emmy Awards have been announced.

In a ceremony hosted by Mindy Kaling and Carson Daly on July 10, it was revealed that Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey will go head to head for Best Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series for True Detective.

Some of this year’s favourite series with a chance of scooping an award are Breaking Bad, Downton Abbey, Game of Thrones, Big Bang Theory and Modern Family.

The winners will be revealed at the glittering August 25 ceremony in Los Angeles, which will be hosted by Seth Meyers.
