Jay Leno will return to hosting primetime with ‘Jay Leno’s Garage’ on NBC

Jay Leno may have retired from TheTonight Show, but he’s coming back to the small screen with Jay Leno’s Garage.

The new series, based on his web show of the same name, will debut in 2015, according to CNBC.

“This show will be about anything that rolls, explodes and makes noise,” said the 64-year-old stand-up comic in an official statement.

Jay made a temporary return to television in August, when he hosted Jay Leno’s Garage: The Ultimate Car Week, marking the funnyman’s first television appearance since departing The Tonight Show in May of 2009.

The former host has a car collection that boasts an estimated 286 vehicles, and among them are a sedan and a roadster that were once owned by business tycoon Howard Hughes.

In addition to car collecting and web series development, Jay also writes a recurring column for Popular Mechanics.
