Lady Gaga is having a pretty great 2015 so far. She recently got engaged to Chicago Fire star Taylor Kinney, bowled people over at the Oscars with her tribute to The Sound of Music, and has just announced that she will be joining the cast of American Horror Story.
The Grammy-winning singer will reportedly star in the fifth season of the show, which is set to debut in October.
Based on a tweet the 28-year-old pop star sent out to fans, it looks like the upcoming season will be dubbed American Horror Story Hotel and will feature tall tales from behind the walls of a lodge. The video message featured Gaga (née Stefani Germanotta) dressed up in a black costume along with the caption, "Make your reservation now. #GagaAHSHotel."

What her recurring role will exactly entail or who her fellow castmates will be is not yet known, but we're hoping show producers Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk will reveal more details in the upcoming weeks.
FX Networks CEO John Landgraf said that viewers can expect this season's theme to be “very different" from what they've seen in the past. Fans of the series will remember that season four featured several musical numbers and saw cast members Jessica Lange and Sarah Paulson bring theatrical scenes to life, which could be right up Gaga's alley.
This will be the first major acting role for the singer-songwriter, who has had bit parts in films like Men in Black 3, Sin City 2:A Dame to Kill For and Machete Kills.
