Julia Roberts and Jennifer Aniston have a lot of things in common - they are both stunningly beautiful, have had decades of success in Hollywood, and come next year, they will reportedly be the top-billed cast members in Garry Marshall’s future hit film, Mother’s Day.
Although the two actresses have never worked together on screen before, the Mother's Day set will be home to many reunions for the famous duo. Julia, 47, and Garry have collaborated on three projects, including Julia's star-making turn in 1990’s Pretty Woman. She later stepped in front of his camera again for Runaway Bride, followed by the A-list ensemble flick Valentine’s Day in 2010.
Jennifer, 47, will find a familiar face in her Horrible Bosses costar Jason Sudeikis, who Deadline reports is close to signing on to star in the romantic drama. Like Valentine’s Day, Garry’s latest flick will showcase a variety of intertwining stories about mothers as they prepare to celebrate Mother's Day with their families. Mom-of-twoKate Hudson is also in talks to join the cast.
Jennifer is coming off a stellar year in film. Her portrayal of a woman struggling with chronic pain in Cake garnered the Friends actress multiple award nominations, including SAG and Golden Globe nods. She then had audiences laughing all over again when she reprised her role as a raunchy dentist in Horrible Bosses 2. Since then she has kept a low profile, enjoying life and planning her wedding to actor Justin Theroux.
Julia has had a busy year as well. Since delivering a moving performance in the award-winning HBO mini-series The Normal Heart, the busy mom-of-three has wrapped production on the mystery thriller Secret in Their Eyes, opposite Nicole Kidman, as well as Money Monster, in which she stars alongside George Clooney.
