2016 SAG Awards: Cate Blanchett, Rachel McAdams and Leonardo DiCaprio among nominees

Cate Blanchett, Leonardo DiCaprio and Rachel McAdams are among this year's nominees for the 22nd annual Screen Actors Guild Awards. TV stars Anna Faris and Anthony Mackie announced the nominations during a live show from Los Angeles on Wednesday (Dec. 9). Trophies will be handed out on Jan. 30.

Joining Leonardo in the race for outstanding performance by a male actor in a leading role in a motion picture is Bryan Cranston (Trumbo), Johnny Depp (Black Mass), Michael Fassbender (Steve Jobs) and last year's Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne for his harrowing performance in The Danish Girl.

Canadian actress Rachel McAdams earned a best supporting actress nomination for her memorable performance in the drama Spotlight. This marks Rachel's second SAG nod, after being included in the Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture category for 2011's Midnight in Paris.

Hit shows like Downton Abbey and Mad Men will battle it out for Best Drama Ensemble, while the hilarious casts of The Big Bang Theory, Veep and Transparent will vie for Comedy Ensemble. Nicole Kidman received a nod for her performance in Grace of Monaco and Bill Murray's festive cheer in A Very Murray Christmas captured him a nomination for best leading actor in a miniseries or television movie.
