Hillary Clinton shared her best selfie tip on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, but the secret wasn't her own. The U.S. presidential candidate recounted meeting selfie queen Kim Kardashian, during which time the 68-year-old picked the reality star's brain to bank her secret for taking flawless shots.
Hillary revealed that when she met Kim last year, she jumped at the chance when the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star and her husband, Kanye West, asked to take a selfie with her.
"First of all, she was very nice and, of course, when she says to me, 'Can we take a selfie?' I said, 'Hello, of course,'," Hillary explained to Ellen. "I mean, that's like an obvious answer."
However, the politician revealed she was in awe when she discovered Kim's trick to taking flawless photos.
"I've never seen this anywhere else. I mean, you're a famous celebrity, maybe you have, I haven't," she confessed. "She pulls [her phone] out and it has lights all the way around it, like little tiny, tiny light bulbs."
"I saw her phone. It makes you look better," quipped Ellen, with Hillary adding, "It makes anybody look better!"
She later added: "She whips it out. She hits this button. The light is there. She holds it at a perfect angle and she makes everybody look better than you have any reason to look. And she’s very nice."
Hillary also confessed that she was so impressed with Kim's phone gadget that she has since "desperately" searched to find something similar – but has been unsuccessful so far.
"I have been desperately looking for one of those ever since with no luck," she said. "So if anybody knows where you can get one…"
There's no doubt that the selfie caused a stir when Kim shared it on Instagram after meeting Hillary in August, with the snap garnering over 970,000 likes. "I got my selfie!!! I really loved hearing her speak & hearing her goals for our country! #HillaryForPresident," she wrote in the caption to her 57.4 million followers.
