Fuller House is coming back! And other 90s shows Netflix should revive

By Anna Redman

Netflix may have outdone itself. After reuniting Full House fans with their favourite San Francisco family in season one of Fuller House, the beloved streaming site has committed to another season of the revival series.

Brought to fans by Jeff Franklin, the creator behind the original show, the newest instalment of Tanner tales shares the same brand of family love and endless hugs that made the original a household favourite.

“I knew that this kind of excitement was going to be there, but nobody else seemed to get it,” said Jeff Franklin of the reunion hit. “I was pitching to networks that Full House reruns were beating every night — we were airing 40 times a week and getting millions and millions of viewers. For some reason, a whole bunch of networks didn’t understand the hunger that was out there for this show. It was baffling me. Netflix finally stepped up, and that’s why it’s happening now. It could have happened seven years or eight years ago, but it didn’t.”

Although an official release date for season two has yet to be announced looking out for it early next year might not be unreasonable. The 13 episodes of season one, which were all released in the same weekend at the end of February, made their way to our small screens just ten months after the big announcement that the San Francisco gang would be back!

Now, as we re-watch the Tanners (and their extended family – both new and old) in the first of these reunion episodes (and some of our favourites from the original) it’s crazy to think it’s been 18 years since the show wrapped and almost 30 since it originally aired. Of course, when we thought about that we couldn't help reminiscing about other 90s shows we'd like to see new episodes of. Here we round up some of our favourites and remember why we loved them so much in the first place!
