Fans of Breaking Bad have taken their devotion to a whole new level. Aaron Paul, who starred alongside Bryan Cranston in the top-rated, meth-laced series, has revealed that several show-lovers crashed his wedding to Lauren Parsekian in 2013.
Speaking to James Corden on The Late Late Show, he admitted to not noticing the fans had followed in the footsteps of wedding crashers Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughan until he and his wife were looking at photos of their big day. It was then that they spotted a number of rogue bystanders clad in clothes that didn't fit the dress code.
"We had a 1920s Parisian carnival wedding and these people were just in basic wedding attire, and they just stood out like a sore thumb," the 36-year-old said.
He even admitted that one of the uninvited attendees attempted to score the ultimate prize at the event. "This one girl almost caught Lauren's bouquet... She dove for it -- violently dove -- you could tell on her face that she was going to get it... She didn't. She was close!"
Post-Breaking Bad, the actor has found success in his new Hulu series, The Path(Thursdays on Showcase). The show centres on a fictional cult and co-stars Michelle Monaghan as Aaron's wife and Hugh Dancy as the cult's charismatic head.
"I wasn’t really looking to jump back into TV this quickly, but my reps called and said, 'You must read these first two episodes,'" Aaron told Variety of the show. "I read them and I just could not ignore the material. It was just so gripping and so beautifully written and so well done."
