Why it's Nick Viall's time to find love as 'The Bachelor'

Nick Viall is hoping the fourth time's a charm as he prepares to search for love on The Bachelor. The handsome 35-year-old is no stranger to Bachelor Nation, having appeared on two seasons of the Bachelorette and the last season of Bachelor in Paradise.

The announcement of the new bachelor came with some controversy as Nick garnered a "bad boy" reputation during his time wooing Andi Dorfman and Kaitlyn Bristowe. But after two failed engagements and a loveless stay in paradise, it's easy to root for the Milwaukee native, who insists he is desperately looking for "the one."

Nick thought he found love with Bachelorette Andi Dorfman.

After losing out to Josh Murray in the season finale of Andi's season, Nick picked up the pieces of his broken heart and asked producers if he could join Kaitlyn's roster of eligible men after feeling an initial spark with the Canadian beauty during a Bachelor Nation get-together. The two hit it off and once again Nick made it to the end only to be sent home during the final rose ceremony.

BACHELOR NATION: WHERE ARE THEY NOW

This past summer the new bachelor looked for love in Mexico on the Bachelor's hit spin-off series. Unlike his past antics that turned off some fans, the account executive turned over a new leaf and became a voice of reason and support for his fellow castmates.

The 35-year-old appeared in this summer's edition of Bachelor in Paradise.

And when Josh Murray turned up in paradise to swoop Nick's crush Amanda off her feet, the reality star didn't let it weaken his determination to find love. Now he'll have the chance to try again when the 21st season of The Bachelor premieres Jan 2 (OMNI).
