Miss Universe 2013: Miss Venezuela, Maria Gabriel Isler, is crowned the winner

For the third time in six years, Miss Venezuela has been crowned Miss Universe.

Maria Gabriela Isler, a 25-year-old television personality and flamenco dancer, beat out 85 other hopefuls on Sunday night to become the 62nd winner of the international beauty contest.

The tiara may have tumbled off her head, but not even an embarrassing victory flub could put a damper on Gabriela’s big moment.

"I have a lot of emotions. I can't describe all the things that I feel at this moment because I'm shaking," said the 5'10" stunner. "I'm still in shock. I feel so blessed, so happy to be here."

Back home, Gabriela works as a television host and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in management and marketing.

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro was so proud of the win that he congratulated Gabriela via his Twitter account, writing that her success was "a triumph for Venezuela."

The two-hour televised pageant, which was viewed by an estimated 1 billion people in more than 90 countries, named Patricia Rodriguez of Spain as the runner up.

Celebrity guests included Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler, who led the panel of judges and performed the song “Dream On” while playing the piano.
