The Duchess of Cambridge wows with stylish ponytail

The Duchess of Cambridge, née Kate Middleton, has been experimenting with new hairstyles as of late. The pregnant royal, who has been shunning her trademark cascading curls for intricate updos, stepped out on Tuesday sporting a high ponytail with volume at the crown.

Kate, who was carrying out an official engagement for East Anglia Children’s Hospices, was radiant in a red Katherine Hooker dress for the event.

Just days earlier, the expectant mum wowed with a half-up, half-down ’do that featured intricate plait detailing when she hosted an event for the children’s mental health charity Place2Be in Kensington Palace.

And earlier in the month, Kate attended the Royal Variety Performance with Prince William wearing a voluminous updo.

The royal seems to be moving away from her signature Chelsea blowdry style

Styled low at the nape of her neck, her hair had been meticulously curled and loosely pinned up in sections, making for an elegant, old Hollywood glamour-style chignon.
