Jared Leto reveals sleek, platinum hair the same day as Kim Kardashian

After speculation over the wisps of fair hair peeking out from under Kim Kardashian's beanie on Thurs (Mar. 5), the 34-year-old reality star revealed a virtually unrecognizable new look at Paris Fashion Week – platinum blond hair! But Kim wasn't the only one, as Oscar winner Jared Leto – who recently teased a cleaned-up look – breezed into the same event with an equally shocking ’do.

Jared has been teasing fans with a new look since Tuesday when he shared a snap on social media site Instagram of his clean new look, simply writing “…#gone!” alongside it, and at the Balmain show during Paris Fashion Week his new hair finally debuted.

Wearing a slick silk royal blue smoking jacket, with a white roll-neck top and black-tinted aviators, Jared looked every inch the cool fashionista he is known for being.

Jared and Kim later bumped into one another and posed for pictures together. The pair have both dyed their hair blonde before, although neither has opted for such dramatic looks in the past – and although Kim has dyed her hair for cosmetic reasons, Jared's reason is a little different – he is preparing to play The Joker in the new film, Suicide Squad.

Speaking of taking on such an iconic role – Jack Nicholson and Heath Ledger both famously played the Batman villain – Jared admitted: "The opportunity to take on this nearly Shakespearean character – that’s what graphic novels are becoming, right? (He's) this beautiful disaster of a character – what a big challenge.”

Jared will star in the film alongside Will Smith as Deadshot, and Margot Robbie, who has been cast as Harley Quinn. British model Cara Delevingne will appear in the movie, which is due out in 2016, as Enchantress.
