Why Salma Hayek loves her post-pregnancy physique

Salma Hayek admits that since becoming a mother eight years ago, she has never missed her pre-pregnancy figure. The actress, who gave birth to daughter Valentina in 2007, confessed that while she no longer has the same waist size, she is much happier with her life.

The 49-year-old took to Instagram to share a throwback snap of her pre-baby physique, in which she flaunts her toned abs and slender build as she poses in a striking white bikini and sarong on a beach.

"This was my waist before pregnancy," she explained in the caption to her 788,000 followers. "Now it's not the same but my life is so much better," she continued, followed by a translation of the message in her native language, Spanish.

The From Dusk till Dawn actress, who is married to French businessman François-Henri Pinault, often shares glimpses of her daughter Valentina, and in December shared her daughter's touching project.

The star revealed her life is so much better since becoming a mother

"My daughter valentina is growing her beautiful mane so she can cut it and donate it to make a wig for children with cancer," the Wild Wild West star wrote alongside a photo of the back of her daughter's head on Instagram. "Now that is the spirit of Christmas."

Salma had previously spoken of her daughter's love for all things beauty, and confessed her little girl is "actually talented" and sometimes even does her A-list mother's make-up.

"Valentina is so good with make-up," the Frida actress told E! Online. "So, so good that I have an assistant that sometimes asks her to do her make-up before she goes out.

"She's done my make-up, and she's really, really good! I have the opportunity to work with great make-up artists and she's watching them like a hawk. She's actually talented with it."
