Drew Barrymore launches her new magazine Flower Press in New York subway

Drew Barrymore knows a thing or two about beauty on the go. The 42-year-old actress recently turned a New York subway into her very own glam room, as she raced to put her makeup on en route to the launch of her new magazine Flower Press.

"#commuterbeauty for all us girls on the go @thenewstand at Columbuscircirlcle hub and at a local ferrys to be determined hold please and thank you," she wrote on Instagram, alongside a relatable photo of herself putting on a few coats of mascara from her Flower Beauty cosmetic line.

The Hollywood star hit the subway platform in a rainbow-coloured Paule Ka dress to hand out copies of the 'zine' to unsuspecting commuters. And while some New Yorkers happily accepted the freebie, Drew noted that not everyone was thrilled about her latest endeavour.

"Handing out #FLOWERPRESS (this women was kind enough to take one, most peeps on the subway snubbed me and I totally get it. Just trying to get from A to Z without solicitation!) #ihearyou #getit," she told her 7.1 million followers on the social media platform.

The first official issue of the new magazine, which will feature Drew’s beauty secrets, recipes, and expert interviews and more, will be released later this year.

The mother-of-two has been keeping busy since splitting from her husband Will Kopelman in 2016. On the business side of things, she has been managing her own production company Flower Films and cosmetic company Flower Beauty while still keeping a foot in Hollywood. The 42-year-old is shooting the second season of the hit Netflix series The Santa Clarita Diet, all while raising her daughters, Olive, 4, and three-year-old Frankie.
