Does Lady Gaga pay paparazzi to retouch photos of her?

Lady Gaga, 28-year-old superstar and paragon of the Born This Way Foundation, reportedly requests that even her paparazzi photos be retouched.

The news from Page Six comes after the ‘Paparazzi’ singer recently performed at New York City’s Roseland Ballroom, where she is reported to have requested photographers “smooth out her jaw line and thin her arm” and legs.

WireImage/Getty photographer Kevin Mazur was hired for the run of shows and given exclusive rights to shoot Gaga. He admits that her management team did receive final approval, but says “it’s like with any other artist I work with, and it’s very minimal because we want to get photos out there right away.”

While Kevin raved that the pop star “caters to the paparazzi like no other artist I’ve ever seen,” other photographers were none too pleased with being barred from the shows and Lady Gaga’s after-party at BPM last Friday.

The party was, by Vanity Fair’s George Wayne’s account, very photographable—he reported that Gaga and boyfriend Taylor Kinney “could barely keep their hands off each other all night.”

This comes a week after Kiwi chanteuse Lorde pulled the exact opposite move, exposing and criticizing retouched photos of herself.
