To entice pre-orders, the site revealed a snippet of the lead track, “Monument,” which shows the “Dancing On My Own” singer, 34, in a rope harness in front of a Givenchy-esque backdrop of dogs and masked men (Kanye West would be proud!).
The Swede wrote to her fans on the newly launched site, stating “We’ve done shows together here and there and it’s a pleasure to be on tour with Svein and Torbjørn. I love them. I can’t say much about my set right now - I’m working on a lot of music at the moment and whatever is finished might be something I put on the set list. As usual I just hope people want to dance. I see pink lasers.”
Robyn and Röyksopp famously united to perform “The Girl and the Robot” in 2009, and the Norway-based duo is ready to do it all over again, noting “This summer we’ll be teaming up with the amazing Robyn to partake in a series of concerts throughout the world. Performing together is something we’ve occasionally done in the past - all to such merriment and exuberance, that we’ve decided to reunite and ‘Do It Again’ in 2014. Each of these events will consist of a Robyn part, a Röyksopp part, and of course a joined Robyn and Röyksopp part - all wrapped up in lights and smoke and tons of joy. To say we’re excited is an understatement.”
Do It Again will be released in full on May 26. The 13-stop ‘Do It Again’ tour begins in Barcelona, Spain on Jun. 13 and ends in Boston, Massachusetts on Aug. 22. There are currently no scheduled stops in Canada, but we’re hoping that changes very soon.
