Chad Kroeger certainly knows how to keep his wife happy! For their one-year anniversary, the Nickelback frontman gifted Avril Lavigne a spectacular, 17-carat diamond sparkler, which the songstress was eager to show off on Twitter.

Avril flashed the huge diamond ring to her 16.3 million followers, one month after she celebrated a year of married bliss.

The Canadian duo were wed on Canada Day last year, meaning her present was likely to have been handed over at the beginning of July.

I still can’t believe my 1 year anniversary gift. 17 carat emerald cut. Wow. I love my hubby,” she captioned the photograph.

Avril is preparing to kick off her Zepp tour in Japan in a fortnight. Time apart is a regular occurrence for the couple because of their respective music careers, but this has proved no obstacle to maintaining a happy marriage.

The Canadian couple , whose wedding was covered exclusively by HELLO!, have rules they both abide by to keep their romance on track.
