Cara Delevingne 'records debut single' with Pharrell Williams

From conquering the catwalks to dominating the airwaves: Supermodel Cara Delevingne is reportedly working with Pharrell Williams on her debut single.

The duo have is said to have been working together secretly for the last eight months to work on the launch of Cara’s music career.

They’re going to release the song without warning, complete with video and global launch,” a source told The Sun. “They seem to have formed a great little writing collective and apparently it’s a huge song.”

It would not be the first time that Cara and Pharrell have worked together – the supermodel and Happy singer first met on a photoshoot in 2013, and since then Cara has gone on to be the face of the producer's label i am OTHER.

While Cara has modelled for high fashion designers including Chanel, Burberry and Givenchy and recently launched a collaboration with DKNY, the 22-year-old has always been open about the fact that fashion is not her biggest passion.

“If I am able to carry on modelling, I'll be very happy,” she said. “But my passion is definitely in music and acting.”

Pharrell had previously opened up about Cara’s potential during an interview with Capital FM in February.

“I think what people should probably focus in on, versus these specific projects, is on her, her spirit,” he said. “And what she's up to next. Trust me. Because the films only get better, the parts only get bigger, the music only gets better, the modelling only gets better.

The British beauty, who is close friends with some of music's biggest superstars including Rita Ora and Rihanna, has already shown off her musical talents when a video of her singing with Will Heard went viral in August last year.

She also featured in a video singing alongside popstars Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran, once again wowing fans with her incredible voice.
