Taylor Swift grabbed a bite with her Scottish beau, Calvin Harris, and Yorkshire-born friend Ed Sheeran, opting for a taste of her lunch-mates’ homes at The Spo tted Pig in New York’s West Village. The English pub is a favourite among celebrities in the Big Apple.
Taylor, 25, and Calvin, 31, arrived hand-in-hand at the pub, with Ed walking just a few steps behind them. The US singer emphasised her long legs in black dungarees teamed with a white t-shirt and heeled boots, while her handsome boyfriend was casually dressed in a grey t-shirt and jeans.
Ed, 24, is one of Taylor’s closest friends, and he recently gave her new man the seal of approval. “He’s a really nice guy. Really, really nice guy,” the Thinking Out Loud star said of Calvin during an interview with ZM Online earlier this month. There are certain people that are just nice people in the industry.”
An onlooker at The Spotted Pig on Thursday confirmed that the trio got on incredibly well. “They were all laughing and having a great time,” the source told US Weekly.
It was the second meal out in as many days for Taylor and Calvin, who have been staying together this week at her Tribeca apartment. On Wednesday night, they stopped by Soho eatery L’asso for a late dinner, and each enjoyed a glass of wine as well as two gluten-free pizzas. “They seemed very comfortable with each other,” an insider reported. “They spent the whole time laughing and looking into each other’s eyes.”
The sweet couple are clearly making the most of their time together; on Saturday, the Bad Blood singer will resume the US leg of her 1989 world tour in Detroit.
Taylor’s hard work and hectic schedule is clearly paying off. This week, she was named the youngest woman ever to be included on Forbes list of The World’s 100 Most Powerful Women. According to Forbes, who placed her at number 64, the star "has not only broken record sale and captivated the world with her fantastically honest lyrics, but she has proven herself as an impressive businesswoman”.
