Shania Twain cruises through Toronto concert crowd with a selfie stick

Shania Twain wasn’t lying when she said she wanted to take her live show directly to her fans. The songstress has been getting up close and personal with audiences on each stop of her Rock This Country tour, by venturing into the crowd on a moving glass platform. In a video shared on Twitter, Shania is seen cruising around the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, pausing to greet thrilled fans while she belts out her hit “Any Man of Mine”.

Since kicking off her tour in Seattle on June 5, Shania has been delivering glitzy pyro-filled and high-energy performances each and every night. “I'm going back out on the stage with a much more freestyle show," she revealed to Hello! Canada in March, after announcing her first tour in 11 years. “It's gonna be very rock energy. It's a celebration! It's party time. It's the after-party.”

After closing out her successful two-year Vegas residency in December, fans were relieved to learn that the country star had plans to hit the road. The announcement was bittersweet though, with Shania telling Good Morning America that, "This is going to be a big tour for me because it's going to be my last … I'm going to make the most of it.” And boy is she ever. From sensational sparkly costumes to flying over the stage riding on a saddle, the Timmins native is pulling out all the stops.

The Rock this Country tour might be the singer’s last hurrah on the road, but Shania, who celebrates her milestone 50th birthday on August 28, has said that she has no plans to stop creating memorable music, telling Entertainment Tonight, “I want to be 50 and have new music out. Whether it will be the whole album or just a single, it doesn’t really matter,” adding, “As long as I have something to share with the fans. That’s my goal.”
