One Direction star Louis Tomlinson is totally smitten with his new addition, whose name he revealed to be Freddie Reign Tomlinson. The 24-year-old singer introduced his week-old baby boy on Wednesday (Jan. 27) in a precious black-and-white photo that shows a shirtless Louis cradling his tiny son. He captioned the photo, "Meet my little lad Freddie."

He then went on to thank his nearly eight million Twitter followers, writing, "Thank you so much for all the nice messages."

Louis Tomlinson has shared the first photo of his son, Freddie.

Louis's mom, Johannah, reposted the image a short while later, captioning the image, "My boy with his boy – Louis & Freddie."

Louis and his former flame Briana Jungwirth welcomed their son on Jan. 21, with the new father announcing the happy news on social media. "I'm pleased to say my baby son was born yesterday. He is healthy and pretty amazing. I'm very happy," he tweeted.

Briana, meanwhile, has also shared a photo of their little boy on Instagram, taken moments after he was born. It shows the new mom gently kissing the new arrival as she cuddles him in her hospital bed, and she captioned the picture: "1/21/16. Freddie Reign. Love of my life."

Louis is determined to be as involved as possible in his baby son's life, and it has been claimed he is paying $20,130 a month in child support – amounting to $4,026,000 over his lifetime.

"Louis is doing everything he can to provide for mother and baby," a source told the Sun. "He's very wealthy but is still being hugely generous in the amount he is giving… He's taking being a dad very seriously."

Over half of the money will reportedly go on a $8,455 a month rent for a four-bedroom house in Calabasas, Calif., where Briana can live with Freddie. Louis, meanwhile, is renting his own home nearby so that he can be close to his son.
