Ariana Grande reveals what Celine Dion thought of her impersonation

Ariana Grande is known as much for her chart-topping singles as her spot-on impersonations. It seems the multi-talented singer can ace the vocals of most of her musical peers.

Earlier this week 22-year-old Ariana guest hosted Saturday Night Live and took on Celine Dion – and nailed it – before trying her hand at other divas including Shakira and Whitney Houston.

But the "Love Me Harder" singer has insisted her impressions aren't meant to cause offence and revealed exactly what Celine Dion, 47, thinks of them.

Speaking during a US radio appearance, Ariana told Elvis Duran: "No, no, no! When I met Celine, she told me, she was like, 'When I saw you, I peed!' I'm just a big fan. I'm a really big fan."

And it seems Ariana had just as much fun performing on Saturday Night Live as we did watching her. She continued: "It was one of the most exhausting and overwhelming weeks of my life, but every single moment was so much fun. I had the best time."

Although she's become known for her impersonations of other A-listers, there's no denying Ariana is in a league of her own when it comes to music, and the young songstress confessed she prefers to answer questions about her personal life through songs.

Ariana said: "I think it's a lot easier to sing or write about things that are personal than it is to simply answer a question about them. I feel I have more control over how I'm expressing myself. I feel like it's almost like having a conversation with a friend.

you write a song about someone, it's like, 'This is exactly what I'm feeling', as opposed to when you're asked a question by someone else, you feel a little more put on the spot. You know there's the question of, 'Is my music too personal?' Does that cause drama or something? But I would much rather it be personal and be an honest reflection of where I'm at than sacrifice my honesty and integrity in my music."
