Celine Dion finds super fan in a British bulldog named Alfie

Celine Dion's fan base has gone to the dogs - literally. An adorable six-year-old British bulldog named Alfie loves the Canadian songstress so much he can't stop watching videos of her performing on YouTube.

According to his owner Ffion Wyn Jones, the pooch loves to lie down and relax to the gentle sounds of Celine's impeccable voice. “It’s just very odd, he can be a bit naughty at tea time so I decided to put Celine Dion on to see if it would calm him down," she explained in an interview with Wales' Daily Post. Now whenever Alfie needs to chill out, Ffion knows to give him a dose of Celine.

Alfie is one of Celine's biggest fans.

Alfie's affinity for the 48-year-old was discovered about six weeks ago when Ffion was watching clips on YouTube and a Celine Dion video started playing. "He just went really still and sat down and just stared at her. It was so funny.” She adds: “Now it’s the only thing that makes him behave before dinner. It’s quite strange.”

Like most Celine fans, Alfie has his favourite songs. “He watches a lot of her songs, but I think Immortality with the Bee Gees is his favourite," revealed Ffion. “He definitely watches that one the most. I think it’s because they are quite high-pitched and Celine sings quite high too sometimes."
