Two of pop’s top female stars have new singles out that both feature collaborations with urban-pop artists. That’s not unusual—it’s a proven formula that has longed worked its magic on the charts. Katy Perry’s has an entire catalogue of hip-hop-assisted hits that have featured everyone from Snoop Dogg to Kanye West. Most of Lana Del Rey’s collaborations have been on other people’s records, but now she has a special guest on her latest release. Both Katy and Lana are serving up these singles as teasers for their forthcoming albums.
Katy Perry – “Bon Appetit” feat. Migos
Fresh off the success of her politically-charged single "Chained to the Rhythm," Katy is back and serving up a sassy and sensual take on mealtime. Proving her prowess in the art of double entendre, the pop star cooks up course after course of word play on the Migos-supported track.
Katy denies her fun new jam is about sex—taking to Twitter to launch a pie-baking competition and insisting the song is about cherry pie—but her tongue is firmly in cheek..

Lana Del Rey – “Lust for Life” feat. The Weeknd
Not to be confused with Iggy Pop’s song of the same name, Lana’s new song is the title track of her upcoming album and it features Canadian r&b star The Weeknd. “Maybe that’s kind of weird to have a feature on the title track,” says Lana, “but I really love that song and we said for a while we were gonna do something; I did stuff on [the Weeknd’s] last two records.”
Pop’s femme fatale is thrilled with her dreamy collaboration with The Weeknd and posted a photo of herself with Abel Tesfaye on her Instagram account.
