Anyone in the Duchess of Cambridge’s (nee Kate Middleton) inner circle is surely wondering what to get the mom who has everything! With their second child due in mid-to-late April, Prince William and Kate are likely to be lavished with baby gifts from friends, family and even nations.
When George was born, the Cambridges received generous and, in some cases, rather unusual gifts from Commonwealth countries. While Canada sent an embroidered blanket and made a $100,000 charitable donation in his name, the Northern Territory of Australia celebrated the newborn’s conception date with a baby crocodile born the same day.
But the new royal baby - whose sex and name has royal bookies in a frenzy - isn’t the only ones receiving something special in honour of his or her arrival. The Royal mint will also be gifting a total of 2,015 special coins (lucky silver pennies, to be exact) to babies born on the same day at William and Kate’s little one.

Recently snapped on a shopping trip picking up stylish clothing for both of her children, modern Kate is arming herself with everything she’ll need for baby. And mom will be around to take care of her new arrival longer than with Prince George, the duchess having extended her maternity leave to give her more time to bond with her “two under two” and ease the transition of her first-born welcoming a new sibling.
While gifts are sure to pour in both before and after the birth of the fourth in line to the throne, we’ve enlisted our friends at Today’s Parent to round up a beautiful selection of royal-worthy presents sure to be a hit with any expectant mother.
From practical products (like the cutest bottle drying rack you’ve ever seen!) to a British-inspired mobile and diaper cake courtesy of Jessica Alba, you’ll be looking no further than this creative crop of gifts for your next baby shower.
