Elizabeth Hurley hoping Royal Baby is 'a little princess'

It seems Elizabeth Hurley and Prince Charles are in agreement on one very major point: they both want the second royal baby to be a little princess. The actress was keen to share her hopes for Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge, née Kate Middleton.

Speaking at the Breast Cancer Research Foundation’s annual Hot Pink party on Thursday, Elizabeth admitted to having a case of royal baby fever.

“Of course, who doesn’t!” she told People. “Aren’t we all hoping it’s a little princess? We’ll have to see.”

The actress also said she’s a “big fan” of the royal couple and described them as "fabulous".

Elizabeth’s revelation follows Prince Charles’ admission that he and his wife, the Duchess of Cornwall, were “hoping for a granddaughter”. The Prince was joking with Eric Jones, the oldest surviving member of the Welsh Guard, about the difficulties of raising a daughter when he made the confession.

Lynda Bateman, who was attending the reception at Windsor Castle with her father Eric said: “My father introduced me as his daughter and Prince Charles asked how many daughters he had.

“My father said ‘One – and that’s enough’, and Charles laughed and said ‘And we’re hoping for a granddaughter!’”

William and Kate are expecting their second baby any day now

Hopefully Charles won’t have too much longer to wait for the arrival of his second grandchild. Kate has now passed her original due date of "mid-to-late April", and will now welcome a May baby.

Parking restrictions outside the Lindo Wing have been extended from 30 April to Tuesday 5 May, meaning that Kate’s baby could now arrive over the May Bank Holiday weekend.

Kate appears to be taking the wait in her stride, and has been seen going about her day-to-day duties. The Duchess returned to Buckingham Palace with William and their son Prince George on Wednesday – the day that marked their fourth wedding anniversary.

The couple also showed their appreciation to the royal super fans who have been camped outside St Mary’s Hospital for two weeks by sending a delivery of sweet treats and hot drinks on Tuesday.
