New portraits of Princess Charlotte show a happy baby girl, exactly the "little joy of heaven" dad Prince William described to the press recently. And as her sweet features become more apparent, she's starting to resemble members of the Royal Family.

The cherubic seven-month-old shares the same bright, sparkling eyes as the Duchess of Cambridge and has a real Middleton characteristic: her button nose. Photos of Kate and Carole Middleton as young girls show the same shape.

It seems Charlotte also takes after her mom's side of the family with her defined brows and sweeping hair. Like her big brother Prince George, Charlotte boasts adorable chubby cheeks.

But new photos of the royal darling, which were released on Sunday (Nov. 29) by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge through Kensington Palace, have divided opinion.

Some royal fans have said that Charlotte bares a striking resemblance to her father William when he was a tot. The photos of Charlotte call to mind pictures of a baby William at Kensington Palace, leaning into his mother Princess Diana's arms.

While Charlotte may share her mother's bright-eyed look, the round, deep-set shape of her eyes is far more similar to William. Kate has a narrower, almond eye shape.

Her chestnut hair is also more akin to William's than Kate's darker locks.

Charlotte shares the same chubby cheeks as her big brother Prince George.

Others have also claimed that the princess looks like her great-grandmother the Queen as a baby, with her sunny disposition and sweet smile.
