The Duchess of Cambridge spent some quality time with her mother Carole Middleton and sister Pippa Middleton on Tuesday (Dec. 1) when the trio stepped out to grab a bite. The well-heeled threesome enjoyed each other's company and the French fare at Clos Maggiore, a French restaurant in the Covent Garden area of London.
The restaurant is a very popular venue for pre- and post-show dinners, and the three may have taken in a show after their meal. The duchess was wearing a white top and carrying her black Mulberry Bayswater clutch.
The restaurant has become very popular in the past few years and has won awards for it’s outstanding French cuisine. It serves food fit for royalty with dishes such as oven-roasted venison. Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s mom and her family dined in the "apple blossom-adorned conservatory," which features a large glass roof, so the stars can shine down on nighttime diners.
The women looked deep in conversation over their meals, perhaps discussing how they will celebrate Princess Charlotte’s first Christmas. When asked two weeks ago if she had started preparing for the holidays, Kate replied, "I haven’t started yet, but George will be starting to talk about Christmas soon."
The evening after enjoying a meal out together, Carole and Pippa were seen supporting another member of the family, Prince William. The mother-daughter duo wrapped up warmly to attend a carol service in honour of the prince’s late friend, Henry van Straubenzee.
Both Prince William and Harry are patrons of the Henry van Straubenzee Memorial Fund, which was set up in 2002 after their friend died in a car crash.
