Queen Rania's cute throwback photo shows mini-me Prince Hashem and his dad King Abdullah

Queen Rania of Jordan showed that if one thing runs in the country's royal family, it's adorable kids. Comparing her husband King Abdullah to son Prince Hashem, the proud mom shared a cute throwback photo with fans.

The adorable snap comes just a few days before the king and his son mark their birthdays on Saturday (Jan. 30). While the young prince will celebrate 11 years, his father is ringing in 53. Rania captioned the post, “They say ‘like father like son.’ With their birthday just around the corner, I hope Prince Hashem grows up to be just like his father!”

Queen Rania shared this throwback of her birthday boys on Instagram.

Prince Hashem is the youngest of Queen Rania's children – he counts Crown Prince Hussein, 21, Princess Iman, 19, and Princess Salma, 15, as siblings – but it seems he may bear the greatest resemblance to his dad. Wearing similar outfits and head coverings in the Instagram post, the vintage snap of King Abdullah and new shot of his son look almost identical.

The 45-year-old Queen appears to be feeling nostalgic as of late, recently sharing another photo of her soon-to-be birthday boys with her 1.4 million followers. The sweet picture shows a young Prince Hashem giving his father a kiss on the nose. She captioned the heartwarming memory, “Hashem and his favorite man... Back in 2006 #Father#Family#Love#ThrowBackThursday#TBT.”

And the doting mom couldn't hold back on sharing a shot of herself with her little prince. Looking back on the early days of her son's life, Queen Rania posted a throwback from 10 years ago of her boy on her lap, captioning the snap, "Always in great company when I’m with Prince Hashem, a throwback to 2006#Family #Love #ThrowBack #TB."
